Optical USB and PS2 Mice

Mouse, hhhhmmm now unless you have a touch screen PC, you will need an input device such as a PS2 or USB mouse to use your PC to its best ability. We have quite a selection of mice, as seen below. They range from the budget models to gaming mice that are designed for a specific role. Of course the variety is bewildering but usually comes down to a couple of things cordless wireless or not.
More often than not these days all mice use Laser technology. An optical mouse is far more responsive and doesn't suffer the problem of older ball mice of getting messy inside the mouse, which made the mouse difficult to use.
USB Mice: As the name suggests a USB mouse will plug into a USB port on your computer. These tend to be the most popular versions.
PS2 Mice: Ah the faithful PS2 connection, been around for years, and still going strong. A PS2 connection uses hardware to make it work unlike USB which uses software to make it go.

Speakers

PC Speakers

Beg your pardon, cant hear for all this din from these speakers. OK joking aside, as PC's become more and more media centred having the ability to watch and hear videos or DVD's or listening to on line radio stations (as I do and am doing right now) by simply plugging in some speakers and you too can take part in the media revolution. Or you could just bang in some headphones so only you can hear whatever it is your watching or listening to.
USB Flash Memory USB Flash Memory Flash aaaahhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaa Sorry, if you don't know what USB Flash Memory are, well they have a variety of names such as USB Pens, USB Pen Drives, Pen Drives, USB Flash Drives or Thumb Drives they all mean the same thing. Photo Paper Paper, everything in life has paperwork attached to it. However some things are worth the paper work, even photo paper work if you will. Things such as cherished memories of holidays, occasions and loved ones, and maybe for target practice not so much loved ones. In our range of paper we cover photo matte, duo photo matte (you can print on both sides with the same results) photo gloss and some speciality papers such as canvas effect paper. So there's a finish to suit all needs depending on how you’re going to display your photograph.

All paper is measured in gsm (grams/ per square meter) the higher the number the thicker the paper.
With this in mind imagine photo paper is like a kitchen paper towel, it will only hold so much liquid before seeping through. OK that's slightly over the top for an example but the same applies to all paper. If you want to print a landscape for example, there will be a lot of ink so a heavier weighted paper would give a better result than a thinner paper. The other side of this is that say you want to print a portrait then a thinner paper would fit the bill nicely as there isn’t as much ink used. However there is a caveat to this, depending on the results your after depends on which paper to use.
CD Disks
Humble & ubiquitous the Compact Disk maybe, but it has been around for years and still shows no signs of going away, handy really. A CD will hold up to 700MB of data or 80 minutes of Audio. You can however get slightly larger disks that will hold up to 800MB of data or 90 minutes of Audio.
DVD Disks Today DVD's have become the norm, they can hold about 8 times as much information as a CD but they don't cost 8 times as much. A standard DVD will hold up to 4.7 GB worth of data and 120 minutes worth of Audio/ Video as with CD's you can get larger capacity disks, they're called Dual Layer or Double Layer disk, they are twice as big as a standard DVD they can hold up to 8.5 GB of data or 240 minutes of Audio/ Video. Also like CD's you can get re-writable DVD which can be re-written time & time again.
All disks have a guaranteed writing speed, CD's tend to be able to be written up to 52 speed, the speeds are based on fractions of hours, so in theory a 52 speed CD written via your writing software and if your CD/DVD writer supports that speed, it should write the actual data in about 80 seconds or so. A DVD works in the same way, a DVD written at 4 speed should write the disk in about 15 minutes.
However in the real world it's nearer 3 or 4 minutes to write a CD and 17 minutes for a DVD, this is due to the disks needing a lead in and lead out track of the disks, so a CD/ DVD Rom or CD Player knows what's on the disk and what to do with it.
