RoHS Compliance

IconUK RoHS Compliance:

We have been assured by all our suppliers that all products supplied to IconUK are RoHS compliant. For those of you who don’t know what RoHS is and I’ll admit to also being in the dark until the directive came into force 1st July 2006, and noticed all our suppliers went barmy talking about it.

In short it’s an EU Directive for the environment that has banned all products on the EU market of Electronic and Electrical Equipment (EEE) that contain more than the maximum agreed allowed levels of Lead, Mercury, Hexavalent Chromium, PBB and PBDE flame retardants, and Cadmium.

This is another step towards a greener, safer and healthier environment. Which I’m sure you’ll all agree is a good thing, especially as the World has been some what reticent to actually take part in Environmental issues. We and our children now have something else in our armament to help protect the world we live in.
